Packing Day for Princeton, Texas
It’s packing day again—and somehow it never gets easier, even after all the miles we’ve logged.
This leg starts at home in Carl Junction, Missouri, with a familiar drive ahead of us. We’ll roll out through Missouri, clip Kansas just long enough to say we were there, cross Oklahoma, and settle back into Texas by the end of the day. The RV is already settled at Lafon’s RV Park in Princeton, Texas, patiently waiting for us to come back and get it road-ready for our next move east toward Mobile, Alabama.

We’ve got our usual routine down—bags in their specific spots, the cooler packed just right, and a silent prayer that all the chargers actually made it into the right bag this time. (Because yes, you can buy a new one on the road, but who wants to make a pit stop for a charging cable?)
We’ve done this so many times that packing feels part science, part circus act. There’s a rhythm to it—the clatter of zippers, the shuffle of bags, the “did you get the…” that echoes every few minutes. Somehow, everything always fits, even if it takes a bit of rearranging and one final round of “just one more thing.”
Once we get to Princeton, we’ll spend the week getting the RV organized, tackling some work, and hopefully catching up with a few coworkers I’ve never met in person. It’ll be nice to match real faces with the names I see on video calls every week. And if time allows, maybe we’ll sneak in something fun—I’ve been wanting to try axe throwing again (though let’s be honest, my biggest concern isn’t missing the target, it’s throwing my shoulder out!).
